spells that you tested

Unread postby Andrea Sfiligoi » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:18 pm

Please post in this thread any spells that you have used in your games, with all relative questions. It will help me revise the magic information if I can find it all in one section.

Regarding Summon Warrior:

Are these models in addition to the models already on the roster? EG could you summon a 100pt model and boost your warband to 500 points in the first turn effectively giving yourself a 25% point increase over the limit? Are Personalities allowed? If so do they count towards the 50% rule. Is there a number of turns they last like in the backfire description?

Thanks,
Xenos

Yes the summoned warrior can be a Personality model.

The points are in addition (but remember that you paid points for the spellcaster, and that in most cases the spellcaster will be weaker than the summoned warrior)

Read the Summon tag on p.30: If the summoned creature is hit by the Unsummon spell, or if the caster goes out-of-action or moves off the tabletop, the creature immediately disappears.

So yes, you are given some little point advantage, but you are running a risk of losing TWO characters if the summoner is killed

Summoned creatures may not use this spell.

to avoid a cascading effect in which a summoner summons another summoner etc
