Re: Block and concentrated fire

If this were a rule, I might make my "standard" archer rule include Unerring Aim (because I like the mods better) and Maverick Shooter, because concentrated fire just doesn't feel right to me in this scale game.

Re: Block and concentrated fire

As much as a like having archery in a fantasy game, and regularly use Unerring Aim for most archers to make it fit my expectations better, I feel concentrated fire changes things in a way I don't like. I'd rather have lots of chances to get lucky than increase my chances enough to expect to kill som...

have reaction rules settled?

Hi. Attention wandered for a bit, so wanted to see if I've missed it ... Have the reaction rules settled? I'd like to try again. The idea appeals to me, but I'd like to have some assurance about a couple things: 1) slowing things down: I think not limiting will make this a bit faster. maybe not reac...

Re: Dashing

Any chance we could have both (in separate traits)? I like the sound of the new Dashing, now that it has been pointed out. But I like the old one, too. Was it unbalanced, or is this one just more interesting? If the latter, why not invent a new trait, either for the old Dashing or the new?

Looking forward to how "low-powered" would be defined. Sounds interesting.

Re: Long Reach trait

I was just thinking that the guy in front is adding an outnumbering bonus to the guy attacking from behind, but can't be hit. So I understand the guy with the spear can't be hit, but the guy in front is involved, but isn't at risk. Not a big deal to me--I think the trait would be sufficient if it ad...

Re: Armor, shield etc FINAL version

Nifty. This is what I always wanted the SoBH Heavy Armor rule to be. Will the point cost be higher, since this is more effective and doesn't have the downside that Heavy Armor has?

Re: Long Reach trait

I'm not sure I like that the enemy can't hurt your friend, either. I often run up a figure or two into contact with enemy and not do an actual attack. Then I have another model move up and do the attack with an outnumbering bonus. You've stacked the odds, but there's a chance you could get hurt. Get...

Re: Battle report

Did each side really keep up with failures and jump in with reactions? I found repeatedly I'd have to say I'd rolled a failure and did they want to react, and they'd think about it, etc ... It was definitely a slow-down for us.

Re: Reaction Restrictions

Are reactions going to go into SoBH? I'm kinda hoping not.
thanks
